Meet the Chef

Featuring Chef Tammy Raderstorf

Chef Tammy truly believes in the important role a personal chef can have in a client's life.  All aspects of her work are her passion, and it shows in everything she does.  In addition to her own experience in the kitchen, her networking with other professionals in the industry provides her with mentorship, continuing education, and the latest in food trends.  As an independent business owner, she is licensed and insured, and has her Safe Food Handler Certification.

My Business - Time for a Chef!

My mission when I created Time for a Chef! PCS in the early part of 2007 was to share my passion for food and healthy living with hungry clients.  I structured my business to remain client-focused, featuring personalized service down to the last detail.

The focus of my cooking style is first and foremost to satisfy you, the client.  I choose only the freshest ingredients available to satisfy your palate alone (not hundreds of other people's!).  Love to pore over recipes and menus?  You may choose to stay involved in the entire planning process.  Love the whims of a creative chef?  You may prefer to set basic guidelines and rely more on my recommendations.

The results?  You experience delicious and healthy meals made from whole foods to your tastes, ready when you need them.  You enjoy more time for you and what really matters in your life.  You receive better health through healthier eating and less dinnertime stress!

Testimonial

Hello!  My name is Chef Tammy Raderstorf (pronounced RAY-der-storf), and I am the Chef and Owner of Time for a Chef! Personal Chef Service.

Like many other successful personal chefs, my training in the kitchen began at my mother's side.  My mother always took the time to make even the everyday chores in life a learning experience, such as planning a party or dinner menu, choosing seasonal ingredients for ultimate flavor and freshness, and most importantly, cooking the food well!  Her style was simple and focused on the natural flavors of fresh, good ingredients.

These lessons stuck with me as I traveled the world with my Army husband (any North Georgia College grads out there?).  Traveling throughout Europe and in the Western and Southern parts of the U.S. showed me new foods I had never experienced before.  I learned to incorporate these foods into my cooking style as I cooked for formal brunches, casual barbeques, ladies' teas, and dinner with the colonel.

Fast-forward in time, and my two children become my new tasters.  The responsibility of shaping young appetites is an exciting challenge to me, and thank goodness they eat well.  I love to research the benefits and powers of wholesome foods and the sheer pleasure of the guiltier ones!  My kids love to stand beside me as I try a new recipe, whether it's oatmeal cookies or the latest recipe from our favorite cooking show.  Of course, I still have my chief taster, my husband, to support me wholeheartedly in my business.

So that's where Time for a Chef! Personal Chef Service comes in.  I combine two things:  my passion for good, healthy food and my desire to feed it to the people who need it!
